Meet Our Team

Michelle Burke, Founder and CEO of Lyman Life

Michelle grew up near, but not on, Lake Erie. As an adult, she recently realized her dream of owning a Lyman. She feels privileged to be a keeper of her boat, Lyman Life, and is pleased that her own daughters will grow up on the Lake in one of these storied boats.

Joe Burke, Founder of Lyman Life

Joe's childhood memories at the helm of his uncle's Lyman are fond ones. Joe grew up on the shores of Lake Erie and the lake has always been an important part of his life. He's thrilled that his wife has discovered the joy of Lymans and looks forward to many years of boating with their daughters.

Tom Koroknay, Consultant to Lyman Life

Tom grew up on the shores of Lake Erie during the summer months near Huron, Ohio. His father Alex fished the Ruggles Beach reef out of Cranberry Creek Marina (formerly Art Hayes's Marina) just east of Huron, Ohio from 1955 until the summer he took ill in 2014 at the age of 92. Tom is the owner of Koroknay's Marine/Lyman Boats in Lexington, Ohio.

Ryan Koroknay, Consultant to Lyman Life

Ryan and his sister Rachel grew up at on the shores of Lake Erie during the summer months at Tibbles Marina in Marblehead, Ohio. Ryan has twice restored his grandfather Alex's 16ft Lyman, the last boat his grandfather fished. Ryan and his wife, Brittani, are both active duty Coast Guard. Brittani grew up sailing on Lake Erie, and she and Ryan are sharing their love of the water with their two young children.
